What Are Dental Implants?
Dental implants are synthetic structures placed in the area of the tooth normally occupied by the root.
They are custom fit to every patient using their own bone structure, creating a reliable foundation for artificial teeth or permanent bridges. Implants are typically made from titanium, which bonds quite well with bone tissue.
How do Dental Implants Work?
Not everyone is a candidate for a dental implant. For a successful implant to take hold, a candidate must have proper bone density and a strong immune system.
Our team will work closely with you to evaluate your eligibility for dental implants. Patients then undergo a two-step process:
- First, the dentist will apply local anesthesia, make an incision to access the jawbone, and prepare the bone for implant insertion. Once the implant is inserted, the dentist will stitch the gums and provide any necessary medication.
- Next, the jawbone undergoes a 3-8 month Osseointegration period. During this time, the jawbone will firmly attach itself to the dental implant. Once Osseointegration is complete, the patient returns to the office, and a dental implant is fitted with the new tooth.
No two patients are alike, so the Smile Dailey team works hand-in-hand with each and every customer to provide a compassionate, personable experience.
Paying for Dental Implants
We want dental implants to feel doable, not overwhelming. Our office accepts a variety of insurance carriers and is currently contracted with Delta Dental and BCBS.
We also work with third-party financing (including CareCredit) to help patients break treatment into manageable payments, with benefits such as:
- No interest financing for 6 to 12 months with monthly payments
- Quick decisions (sometimes without affecting your credit)
- Longer terms (up to 84 months) with low monthly payments
- No collateral required
- No prepayment penalties
- Fast & easy loan inquiry process
Not everyone is a candidate for a dental implant. For the implant to take hold successfully, you need proper bone support and overall health factors that support healing. Our team will evaluate your eligibility and explain whether implants are the best next step for your smile.
Dental implants are built to be a long-term solution. With consistent home care, routine dental visits, and healthy gums, many patients enjoy stable results for years. Your dentist will review habits and health factors that can impact longevity during your consultation.
Dental implant pricing depends on how many teeth you’re replacing and whether any supporting procedures are needed. At Smile Dailey Dental, the most accurate cost number comes after an exam and treatment plan review, so you know exactly what your case requires.
Recovery varies by patient and treatment plan. After implant placement, the jawbone typically goes through an osseointegration phase (often 3–8 months) where the implant integrates with the bone before the final tooth is placed. We will walk you through your expected timeline and aftercare at your visit.
What to Expect at Your Dental Implant Consultation
Your consultation in Little Rock is designed to give you clarity, not pressure. We will evaluate the health of your gums and jawbone, review the area of the missing tooth (or teeth), and talk through the outcomes you want—whether that is replacing one tooth or stabilizing a larger restoration.
If dental implants are a fit, we will explain the steps of your plan, what your timeline is likely to look like, and what you can expect during healing. You will also receive a clear breakdown of pricing, insurance considerations, and financing options so you can make a confident decision.
